Is there any knife related museums or other sites I should see within a couple hours drive?

The Case factory is 2 hours south, in Bradford, PA.
Queen and Great Eastern are both in Titusville, PA, a similar distance!
Call and see if you can get a factory tour. You won't regret any of them.

I read someone else had visited the American Museum of Cutlery in Cattaraugus, NY. Never been there so I can't comment but it would be on the way to Titusville or Bradford. I believe their website is amcut.org.
I do enjoy the trips to GEC and Queen.

Well now, you are in my neck of the woods so here goes.

Go to Olean NY visit the Kabar visitors center
Bradford Pa for CASE obviously. GREAT visitors center
Go to Little Valley NY and visit the cutlery museum there, plus you can see the old Cat plant.
Titusville for Queen and Great Eastern
Salamanca NY antique mall for lots of knife buying.

and the list goes on.

Thanks guys ! It will make a trip I am dreading a lot more tolerable! Now hopefully some of tht global warming will kick in, last time I was up there in Jan. it snowed six feet!
