I picked up this Queen 32 congress. One of the sheepsfoot blades had a real buggered up tip with a big ol chip out of the point. I straightened it up a bit.

dweb, I think I know where all the awesome Schrades have gone...
First one I've seen with two secondary clip blades.
Nice find, Colonel, and good work on the fix-up.Colonel26 wrote:I picked up this Queen 32 congress. One of the sheepsfoot blades had a real buggered up tip with a big ol chip out of the point. I straightened it up a bit.

dweb, you post the most stunning knives ! These 2 FB's, "wood handles" ? How do you get wood to look like that ? It more resembles highly figured mammoth.

Joe,
I'm sorry that my description was vague. When I bought the first knife, it had wood handles and no guard. Normally both knives have a brass guard and delrin handles. Since the knife had no guard, I asked Herman to mill a thumb ramp into the tang, which he also did to the second knife as I wanted a matching pair. They have both been re-handled in Ram's horn.

Thanks for explaining about handles. It is rather special Ram's Horn as i have never seen it with so much surface detail. Certainly upgrades these 2 knives ++.

I had a pretty decent mail basket this round. The Craftsman came from our man Triple F, the 62055 from espn77 and the 6380 from Jdub.

Here is my sweet new Hibbard Spencer Bartlett. It has Ripley Hardware etched on the blade. I was thinking this was very early 1900s.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
The recent arrivals/pick-ups, en masse. I think I went a little Schrade-crazy...
Can anyone confirm that the Sears Craftsman Barlow near the center is Schrade-built? I compared it to my Camilluses and it didn't match up.
The serpentine jack on the left under the Schrade 12UH was a much-appreciated gift from Scott (TripleF) that he threw in as a surprise along with the Buck 301 I purchased from him. It's not stamped but judging from the blade and the frame I'm thinking Camillus, which means it's got good steel too.
Thanks, Scott!

As the city of Tecumseh was holding their city wide garage sales this weekend I didn't get out to shop for knives(or anything else for that matter)as I was trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff in my garage! Today I closed up early after selling off about $500 worth of stuff and headed for the flea market which opened last weekend.
Found a nice 17 jewel Baylor wristwatch for $7 and a Victorinox SAK for $5. The best one was a Buck 715(a new one on me)that was apparently made exclusively for WalMart for $17.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Here is a small 6" FB with a 2 3/4" Brusletto blade and home made, or custom, sheath, which i bought at auction from SMKW. The handle is listed as "polished stag". There is a deer head painted on the handle end & very well done, not amateurish at all.
I only have listing pics but i think handle is a piece of mammoth tusk, which if correct makes this a good buy for $35.
Does handle look like "polished stag" to you ?
