First post from Pittsburgh

Post by PENSNO1 »

Hey everyone. Just wanted to finally post and introduce myself.

My name's Rick, I live a little north of Pittsbugh, PA and I'm a very new pocket knife collector but, not new to loving them. I've been carrying different PKs for years (mostly cheap ones that you get with business names on them or fake Swiss Armys.. etc.) and recently, because I've bought a couple old ones (I think?) from the flea markets and I found this site, I've really got the bug to get more AND learn more!

I have a few other hobbies too (My wife says TOO MANY other hobbies) like making wine, reading and collecting Civil War books, being a HUGE fan of the God Father and other mob related movies and shows like the Sopranos, and smoking cigars. But, my main hobby is collecting small diecast cars. By reading posts here and at diecast message boards that I belong to, you can't believe the similarities between hobbies! Sometimes it makes me laugh.

Please bear with me because I'll have a lot of questions to ask all of you and will eventually post some pictures of my finds for all of your evaluations and comments.

Thanks for reading this long drawn out post!
Rick

PS. My screen name is PENSNO1 or Pittsburgh Penguins are No. 1 (I'm a big Pittsburgh sports fan too!)

::welcome:: Rick. It's always good to see another person join AAPK and become a knife collector.

They are darn near as much fun as hobbies...

Perhaps that why Mormons are so HAPPY.!!!
