Wow! That's a nice one.
I need one more myself. Then I'll have one put back for each boy...... but who am I kidding, I probably won't be able to stop there.

Thanks for the concern there, Tony, but it's all part of the friendly competition.Tsar Bomba wrote:Hope I didn't run ya up too high. It got swiftly out of hand there!
I got an email notice from feebay today when I went in to check if my pay pal payment had cleared. There's another 72 shortline - 2nd gen. It's pretty used up but haven't had the time to really look at it. I'll post the link later if you can't find it. Thanks again, buddy.
Thanks, Randy. You're a class act, buddy!
PS - I wonder who came in second?

Well I didn't come in second, but I did run you up some. But alas it got out of my wheelhouse too.
Congratulations.
Congratulations.

And to think I held out hopes that the 'stag bone' in the title of the listing might throw some of you hounds off the scent.

Re: camillus #72
This is a short line I'm particularly proud of. I got it at the Badger Show in Janesville WI back in 2012. It's a 1047 Scout (no pattern stamp on the pile side of the main blade). It was made after the saber ground main blades were discontinued (flat ground on the pile side). "Boy Scout Whittler" is etched on the mark side of the main blade. No chips or cracks in the Roger's bone handles. All blades have the factory ground edge and all blades snap like a snapping turtle. Except for carbon spotting on the blades, it's in factory condition. I could be wrong but I believe it was one of the first 1047s Camillus made for the Boy Scouts.
It's the only one like it I've ever seen. Does anyone have one or has anyone ever ran across one other than this one? Not that I would ever sell it (because I wouldn't) but I have to wonder what one like it would bring on eBay.

Cuz it's hard to tell from the pics. You ought to send it to my house so that I can coon finger and chicken eye it for a while to get a more realistic idea of its value.
