Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Today I got a 1990 buck 301 via trade and a rogers bone utica that was free with my ebay bucks
The rogers bone is very nice, dark and even in color. Really it's too nice of bone to have been put on a knife that doesn't have very good fit & finish, but it's solid and perfectly functional with full blades (that are nice and thin behind the edge) so I'm pleased to have it.

I had to buy a group of junkers to get this Wm. Elliot & Co. pen. But one of the other junkers held a nice surprise. This small Carr Brothers pen has genuine tortoiseshell scales.

Et moi! Especially the "on" button. Always like a pen third blade instead of a spey, and I am a sucker for cattles, especially with a long pull. And, and....KnifeSlinger#81 wrote:That one pushes all my buttonsken98k wrote:My latest is an Imperial Cattle Knife.

Seems like Imperial did that on a lot of their cattle knives. I think this is one of my oldest Imperials and it has the same blade configuration:tongueriver wrote:Always like a pen third blade instead of a spey, and I am a sucker for cattles, especially with a long pull. And, and....

The bone jack is made by Premier. I carried it last night. Scary tight, and half stops that I warned my bro in-law about.
The 3 blade, I think is a cattle knife, by Henckels.

Nice hauls you've made Scott - love the old Imperial Boy Scout with carved shield - let me know if that one is for sale. BB
Cattle Knives seem to be the thing right now. Here is a Camillus #75 Junior Cattle Knife that came in yesterday's mail from NY. This one is circa 1957 per the seller's ebay listing. From what I can find looking through old on-line Camillus catalogs (thank you Dale!) this knife came into the postwar period in 1955 and was gone by 1975. The 1957 catalog lists the handles as being made of BROWNSTAG - a synthetic similar to rough black or gumfuddy. This one would be mint if not for a little blade tarnish, but tight, snappy, original edges, etc. OH

I'm thinking i might have to give up. I believe hall have scooped up all the good old knives.

Just got back from antiquing. Found this Utica easy open
main blade has great snap. Secondary blade is broken and has a monster pull. I almost pulled my thumb nail out trying to open it
