I pick them up on E-bay but the prices seem to be going up some now.

They are still worth what you have to pay for them yet ($20.00). They were made in SEKI CITY WHICH PRODUCES TOP QUALITY KNIVES. Well thats what the seller says..

I am sure that you know with a name like COLEMAN they should be good..

I see some are now made in CHINA

I would not get one of them.

dwygtd I did not know that you kept any of your knives. I have seem many of yours for sale and I sure do like your stuff you sell.

I just picked up a Groundhog Genuine Pearl made in Seki Japan. Japan makes some top Quality products. Alot of folks like to get them confussed with China. I look for knives that were produced in Japan like Parker and Bulldog the price is good and the quality is always good if not better than the state side made. I fly the colors Red white and Blue but 10 years in Japan and seeing the work ethic of that county they will always make some of the best products the world has to offer.

In Japan Coleman is real big and expensive. I'm sure they spent sometime in the making of these knives. Coleman products in Japan are priced at 3 to 4 times as much than here.

That knife is a dead ringer for the old Browne and Pharr knife made in Atlanta GA. See picture.

A couple of 23s I picked from Mr. Perry (he's Mr. now, lol) NKCA President.......................... The basket knife is a 2006, and the other a 2007.

Yeah, they are looking good. I like that trap used as a prop but I can't quite see enough of it to see what it's for or if there is a number in the pan, haven't seen one for a few years.

Good use of Winchestor .44-40 box and cartridges, I like it!

Hey thanks guys!

It takes a little longer to set up a picture, but I think it's worth it.

Hukk, they are both Oneida-Victors. The small one is a 1 1/2. The larger one is pretty old, I can't make out the markings, but it's assembled with hot square rivet's, whereas the small one is spot welded.

Oneida............Hummmmmm, seems we have some stoneware of that name.

40 pages and going strong...............................

Y'all have some great stag. Gary I like that Kabar with the dog head shield. I have looked at very few Kabars in person. Are they as nice as they look in pictures?

I think they're a great knife! I only have about 5 of them, but no complaints here. They are very well made.
That one has been used hard; from chopping fire wood to skinning!

Here's the two blade Ka-Bar hunter, it's been to more states on hunting trips than the Pony Express covered!

It was a gift from my Grandfather. He was born in 1911, and started hunting heavy in the mid 1940s. It was the only knife he carried until his last trip in 1988.

He told me when they went to Canada hunting, they would just go out and do it, and then buy a tag for whatever they killed! Boy have things changed!

OK, last post of the year.

Here's a Stag 1st generation Bulldog Calf Roper.

In the background are photos of my Dad, doing what he loved. He was not a calf roper but a team roper, it was his passion. He won saddles, buckles, cash jackpots. He never went national, but he did well for a working man roping on weekends.
He passed away September 3rd, 2004. This is still a healing processes for me, I mean talking about him and recalling his life.
I never expected he would die, he was bigger than life. I didn't get to tell him I loved him and that he was a good father to us before he went.
Don't wait fellas if your loved ones are still around.
