Very nice Congress Jack Ivoryman - love how the pattern looks in Stag. I recently bought one of the red jigged bone versions and am quite pleased with the action (just as you describe). I am funny about Congress pattern knives - I love the look of one (in all it's blade variations), but can never take to carrying one - they just feel odd in my hand (too many years carrying a Stockman I guess). OH

Scott, your two tone Imperial reminds me of my Grandmothers car, the one she drove when I was a kid - it was a two-tone like that. The crown shield adds to the nostalgia factor of the knife. OH

George, nice older Schrade 8OT - sounds like the lady can rest easy. OH

Thanks Old H, I like the sleek shape, and don't know what you mean by feeling odd in the hand but I get how some patterns feel good to us and some not. To my hand it fits and is the right size and the blade pairing is top notch. It's also about the same size as my Stockmans and would think it's about the same knid of carry, especially the square bolster Stockmans. To me they are quite similar, but thanks for the compliment and hope you carry the thing and enjoy it.

Here's a Queen Sleeveboard Pen made circa 1945-55. Measures just over 3 1/4".

Me thinks I scored a good'n here. According to the Schrade catalog this would be a first year LB8 'Grizzy', and not a Papa Bear as they were called after the first year. Has the LB7 blade and a low serial# of 2134. It's unused but has a some shelf wear that'll probably polish out.

All good knives on this page. I particularly like the top 2, RR 5 blade Sowbelly and fancy pink Congress and for oldies i always like a single spring with 2 blades like the old Queen Sleeveboard.

My #13 Speaker Jack in Muslin Micarta came yesterday. Got some pictures this morning. I expected the handles to be smooth but they're textured. Not a bad thing, just unexpected.

No. I don't carry 99.9% of the knives in my accumulation. Mr. boring. Same knife every day, 365 days a year.

Well if you found the right knife, then why change. I like diversity, but I can't like anything as much as a good large stockman.

You had me breathing hard there for a minute Scott. Until I noticed there were no swells in the frame of that Klein and the blade was a Sheepfoot instead of a Coping.

I couldn't even wait to take a good picture. ::ds:: ::ds:: ::ds::

1965-1969 XX USA CASE red bone 6217 loomfixer. No cracks or chips and the blades have great walk and talk with great half stops. Thankfully better than the sellers pictures too. I've been wanting one of these for a long time.
