Thanks Mike, I like taking pictures and I've loved and collected knives for 40 years, it's just natural they would come together . If you wanna see some really spectacular knife photos and wanna talk with a great photographer check out a friend of mine http://sharpbycoop.com/ He takes pictures at the all the knife shows, he makes his living on knife pictures and he's always been helpful whenever I had a problem.

I'm lookin' forward to postin' up some of my favorite pics of my favorite knives.

A favorite of mine, given to me by friend because I watched his dog while he was on vacation. A 50s-60s mint Yellow Celluloid Ka-Bar Fishing Jack. He got it in Tennessee for $10 at a yard sale, he asked me if it was a good knife and did I think he got ripped off for $10?

I've asked this on other forums, now I do know what it's for it took me a minute to figure it out but does anyone know what the hole in the rear bolter is for? If you know for sure don't post it, I like to see how many guesses there are and how many people, including fishermen who don't know the purpose of the hole.

The hole is for straightening hooks or at least the tip of one. Terry

Yep the little hole is for straightening bent hooks .

My Victorinox knives: l to r: Classic, Cadet, Super Tinker, Ranger. The latter knife was presented to me as a retirement gift from the rangers at a lake in Missouri (I'm a retired Corps of Engineers park ranger). My name is engraved on one side, and my years of service in the St. Louis District on the other. They did it up right. I usually have the Classic in one of my pockets in order to have the scissors and toothpick handy, and of the others I carry the Cadet the most. It carries easily, and I don't know it's there unless I have a need for it. (I love things like that.)

I've been working on polishing the edge on this Koster Bushcraft knife since I got it last year, it's all bein' done freehand on ceramic bench hones and water stones so it's takin' a long time but it is so scary sharp now, I can't wait to see how mach sharper it gets. This is where macro shots come in handy and they always look cool too.

You can see the grind lines from the belt grinder, it made for a very toothy, grabby edge, I just wanted to even it out and polish it to a minor polish by hand just the once.

It looks good here, nice reflection...

... till you get a little closer and change the angle of the flash a little bit, there they are! Now you can see all the fine scratches.
