Captains Rooster Pictures for Perry

Post by jfarmer »

Perry here is the Captains Rooster Whittler that you wanted to see along with a Gunstock. Note the coffin bolster on the gunstock. I hope this helps.

James I did not know you had the coffin bolster model. Guess I forgot I'd seen it or you hadn't posted it before or something. Anyway, I like that smaller whittler, thought you might have that one, they are both beautiful. ::drool:: ::drool:: WHAT A SURPRISE...NOT. You always have the pristine Roosters James. The one I'm getting is the Swell Center Captain's Rooster with the smaller sheep foot blade and pen blade and the crimped bolsters. Hey James, what's the background on the Captain's Rooster, how did it originate? Do you know?

Thanks for the pics James,

Hey Perry. Great score on the one you're getting. I don't have that one. Now I'll have to find one :) I have no idea how the Captains Roosters came about. If I think of it, I will ask next time I call over there. I do know that almost all of them were pearl but I think I have seen a few stag Captains Roosters but I could be mistaken. Please post a pic when you get it ::tu::

Will do James, lookin in the book....there was a Gunstock cell released in 79' and a couple others, a stag and another cell in Gunstock on pg. 113 pre 1982, a black ebony Sodbuster on pg. 184 and that looks like it in the book anyway.
