Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the ebay seller who uses the names danhovis and knivesplus50? I figured him for a crook some time ago and then noticed he started appearing a lot on the ebay guides. I'm fairly new to AAPK but haven't seen anything posted about him. Hope he isn't a member here because I respect each and everyone of you good people but have none for him. I almost cringe everytime I see someone has bid on his auctions. And sometimes the guy may have a decent knife but I just won't deal with anyone I know is a scammer. I won't ramble about him but if you haven't noticed him yet, just check his feedback. Toolhaus is best for checking negative feedback. For anyone who hasn't used toolhaus, it only shows the negative feedback on an ebay member so you don't have to weed out all the other. Also you can check the guides under those 2 user names. So my origanal question: is it just me or has anyone else flagged this guy? Thanks

do you have personal experience with this seller? from what i've seen of their stuff, mostly cheap stuff. he bids on knife lots on the bay.

Johnnie I have no personal experience with the guy, just started noticing his auctions as danhovis and when he started getting a lot of negative feedback he started using the name knivesplus50. He no longer uses danhovis. Under the danhovis name he stated he was selling out a 1000 knife collection on every auction he listed. Now as he uses only the ebay name of knivesplus 50 this is what he states on every auction......(copied and pasted directly from one of his auctions)......

To tell the complete story I then started noticing he was getting quite a bit of negative feedback on both names and his name started popping up often on ebay guides as a seller to watch. Now, your right he does buy many knives off ebay and most often its "lots" and most often its cheaper knives he deals in. What gets me about the guy is the many deceptions he uses to sell his knives. The fact of buying and reselling is just business but it seems to me he implies that he is new to knife dealing and just "happened" to get into selling them. That's the first thing. Another thing he does that I don't care much for but at least its posted for all to see his s/h charges. As you said most of his knives are the cheaper knives and his s/h charges are about what the knife is worth or more in most cases. I realize when the charges are plainly posted on the sell page its a person's decision whether or not to make the purchase with the s/h charges included. I just hate to see someone who is just getting started in the knife hobby get taken. For example one of his auctions was for one of the China made Marbles founders hatchet knives and the knife went for $70 plus the $8 for shipping made this $78 for a $20 knife! Most recently I seen 2 of his auctions which were RR large sleeveboards sell for $22 each. His starting price was $14 plus the $8 for s/h. I realize its the buyer's choice to buy or not to buy but again I hate to see new or unknowing buyers just plain out get taken. I also know there is a good argument that they should have better informed themselves and studied the market on what they wanted but I'm from the school of fair dealing and if this was a once in a while thing it would be different but he does this time and time again. I would never want to hurt anyone or their sales but I would like to just ask people to be aware of this guy. If you type in these 2 user names at Toolhaus.org you will find what I'm talking about.
