Giant display Case knife

A friend has a giant display knife made by Case. I would like to get some history on it and some idea of value as I may purchase it. He got it used in the mid 80's.

It is 11 1/4" closed with a 9" blade. Blade is marked WR CASE&SONS, Bradford PA.

My first post, will try to post a pic.

Here's another one-I don't know the real value of your knife but I have seen a couple of them sell for $300-500. BUT an old one should sell for more then that, depending on condition of course but most should be in pretty decent shape.
I do not know when they made the first ones. I do know they made a few in the 1990's.
I do not know how many were made total.

Sweet knife,yeah...I Dont think you use these around the house,lol:)id like to see someone try to field dress a deer with that:)take it to case and tell them you need it honed
