Controversial Case knife??

To make a long story short, I bought a 25 knife collection yesterday that included several trappers, 18's, various stags, quite a variation of Case knives. IT ALSO INCLUDED THE LIMITED KKK TRAPPER!! (encased) That's not something I'm proud of, though. What am I going to do with that??

Aren't those after-market embellishments? I'm under the impression that Case didn't actually manufacture a knife with the KKK logos, but that someone got ahold of some Case knives and altered a bunch. Am I mistaken?
Either way, good luck getting rid of that one. I can't help ya there.

I have a friend with 2 of the Case KKK knives.. If anybody would like, I will post a picture of them(?). One is red bone, the other yellow plastic...
I am, in NO WAY, saying that I support what the Klan stands for. These pictures will be purely informational.
I'm not sure if he wants to sell them or not. If you are interested, I will try to get a price..

I understand the desire for folks to want to tread carefully on topics such as this but we are collectors of knives and they come in all makes and sizes. If Billy Bob up the road sold Hitlers personal pocket knife that his great uncle snuck home from WWII would we have to walk on egg shells to talk about it as well????

Well, here they are. If anybody is offended by them, let me know and they WILL be deleted.
Red, or Brown bone(?). numbered 26, on bolster.
Yellow plastic, numbered 812, on bolster
Both were made in 1997 and are in near mint+ condition...Never carried or used. No marks...
He said he would entertain serious offers on them, might even trade them for something worthwhile(he prefers Case).
Both come in the white cardboard sleeves.
Tell me what you think...
Wish he hadn't of, but he kinda left it up to me...

You are correct, these knives did not leave the Case factory with KKK markings, they were altered later.

Hi everyone. Here is my 2p worth. I subscribe to the idea that ignorance and not information is at the root of predjudice. Thus, while some lessons are less enjoyable then others, they are equally if not more valuable. I have learned something about another aspect of knife collecting from this so I join sunburst in thanking you for sharing these with us. That is my humble opinion. s-k

In my ignorance last summer, I called Case to get a date and value on a KKK trapper owned by one of my customers. They said they didn't make it, and I did some investigating. After asking on this site for any info, I was told that Sheperd Hills does a lot of after-market customizing, and MAY be the candidate for this. I forgot about it until now. I cannot condone the actions of, or sympathize with the cause of the Klan, and, as a businessman, could NEVER deal in such trade. JMO

I bought one of these because i collect knives and thought it was a pretty rare knife. I dont agree with the klans thinking though. My knife came in white cardboard box that says case limited edition. the knife is older than the ones I see in forum mine is marked CASExx Bradford PA. 19USA90. It also 0424 on bolster. The blade etchings on mine are different also. I will post pics for everyone to see.

These were done around the time Jim Parker owned Case. Maybe not by Case (as they have often claimed), but aftermarket.
Maybe to try to copy Rhett Stidham's success with the Nazi knives. They (KKK Knives) are not considered collectable or valuable by knowledgeable collectors, but maybe by those who collect around the Organization.

Please feel free to offer information that shows otherwise.

I had one identical to yours. I put it on ebay and it only lasted for 2 days before they pulled it. It was already up to $105.00
