1920s-1940s IDENTIFICATION TESTED XX

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

1920s-1940s IDENTIFICATION TESTED XX

Post by TyCole »

I recently inherited this knife from my great grandfather. It's in pretty poor condition. Looks like the pin on the back is missing so the blade does not lock up. I was seeing if anyone knew the scale material? Stag? Or any other information would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has pictures of this model please share. Thanks in advance for the help.

Handle is bone.

The knife is a Case/Tested XX knife made between 1920 and 1940 +/-.

Hope this helps and welcome to AAPK :)

It looks a grand daddy barlow with bone handles. Someone could probably reinstall that spring without too much problem if everything else is in good shape.

I agree Greg. Looks like TESTED 6143 Granddaddy Barlow to me. Hard to tell but smooth green bone not saw cut.
