Just got this Queen City trapper with yellow delrin handles from Collector Knives.
Thanks for the tip Colonel.

Those Queen Trappers are nice. Mike at CK had them made for him as a Special Factory Order (SFO) and were made from 1095 steel. He also had some Gunstock patterns made in Yellow Jigged Delrin. They were very well made and well worth their price point.
I had a few of each but sold them off. Also had one of the two blade Copperheads with wood handles.

Seems like that Queen jigged yeller is a little bit lighter than the yeller on my Barlow...

Hi all, I'm new to collecting knives, I have always stayed with swords. I found a couple of knives in a storage building owned by my family. I know one is a Case XX and the other is a Colonial something. I'm posting pics of the colonial in hopes that someone can tell me what it is and if I should go to the expense to have them repaired. Also I don't know where to send knives to be fixed so some recommendations would be nice also. Thank you all in advance for the help and understanding.download/file.php?mode=view&id=275014

Unless the Colonial carries any sentimental value for you, I'm afraid any work done on it would far exceed any value it has. Those Colonials, while decent knives, weren't really made with collecting in mind.

Ok, Thank you for the information, It doesn't have any sentimental value to me, I just hate seeing blades in this condition. I bought each of my kids a Case XX so not sure what ill end up doing with it, Sorry I didnt even know about Colonial then, I may take it about and work on it myself as a learning experience. Don you have any recommendations on resource material to teach me how to take them apart all. Thanks again.

I actually scored a small truck load of knives today, most of which will be sold in "lots".

This was the cream of the crop.....the REDHEAD looked liker a BUCK so I tossed it in....

I really miss Ken, also. For those who did not know him, he (only?) collected yellow knives and he loved to highlight the word in his posts. His house burned with EVERYTHING and he made a few more half-hearted posts and disappeared. I wish the best for him and his wife.

No, Ken 98k is a different member. The Ken they are referring to was "justold52", and he was an interesting guy who loved his yellow knives. Shame what happened, too bad he doesn't come around anymore.

Your stockman has popped up a couple times on AAPK within the last year, I think there are probably lots of them around (check the big auction site) if you want to find a cleaner example. Here is your knife's twin, only instead of the Colonial tang stamp it has a Sharp USA tang stamp:

This week I received a 2-spring 2-blade serpentine jack version of that knife with the same handles, "Turkifornia" clip + pen blade, and the Sharp stamp to match my stockman. I'll take photos when I find some daylight to do it. Oddly enough, both are stamped "Sharp USA 270" but have different configurations, so the 270 is clearly not a model number.

B. Mauser and some of our other Colonial fanatics might have some further information or interesting anecdotes for you if you post questions (or just pictures) over in the Colonial forum, a place I've been meaning to post in but just haven't had much time...

You know I love the #69 and I'm always a fan of the 3207W. I'm getting an almost A.G.Russell vibe off that Kershaw, though, that's a great looking little LB. Heckuva haul.

Well I am still one top or above ground. I still get a gut pain. When I see some of my old knives that i had. I try to get over my loss. Time heels all they saw. I will try to. Stop I the chat room again. I keep going back to the hospital

I thank you for looking at yellow knives and thinking about me.

One day I will buy one. I hope
