I hate to see Imperial steel rotting away.....I like the steel on these sooooooooo much.

I decided to go for a satin finish on this one....first time I've ever tried it. Nothin' fancy just kept stroking the same direction with
sandpaper....
before and after shots (I had already begun on the main blade when I took the "before" pic):

Nice work buddy! I do like the satin finish on scout knives. Mirror polishing makes them look like safe queens. Nothing wrong with that
I like my users to look good, but they should look used. Satin fits the bill!
