Chain for bail

Post by KnifeSlinger#81 »

Ok so this is a really long shot, but I am looking for the chain only, or a similar chain. As long as it's a quality sturdy chain that's made for a knife or similar purpose I am interested, preferably 18" but if you have anything of the sort please let me know, thanks.

Check eBay for vintage knife chain or vintage watch chain. You can usually find something similar to what you're wanting for $10 to $30 depending on finish. Of course silver or gold will be a lot higher.

::hmm:: Dog collar chains are sometimes fancy and maybe the length you need. Also maybe a chain from a biker wallet, these are pretty strong. ftd

What may suit if you can't get exactly what you want is brass sash chain. By the foot usually at a well stocked hardware store. May be called plumbers chain too.

It looks like this:

Paul if you go to ebay and run a search for watch chains there is quite a selection to choose from at prices that range from $1 to $40.
