GEC question
I am, I guess what you call a novice collector at this point. I have approximately 30 pieces or so after two years of collecting. I purchased a smooth bone beaver tail GEC around five months ago. I put in a wooden box with several other knives. I began noticing some discoloration near the back spring then it spreaded to the blade over time. I fool with my knives dailey, working the action and rubbing with oil rag. The discoloration looks like pitting but I can't feel any difference on the blade. This was the only knife in the box with 1095 steel and nothing changed with the other knives. My question is, do you think this is a storage problem or knife problem. As soon as my wife shows me how to put pics in this computer I will send them. I wanted to get your opinion before I try to send it back.
