First Post Introduction

Post by TomcatPC »

Hello everyone

Mark here, registered last night. Came across this site when I was looking for information regarding finding/making replacement springs for a WWII Canadian Clasp Knife I am in the process of "salvaging". So far this looks like a great site, I'm certain I will learn quite a bit here.
Thank You
Mark

Hello

Thank you for the welcome. As for the screen name "TomcatPC", I was a Plane Captain* for F-14A Tomcats when I was in the Service (VF-302 "Fighting Stallions", NAS Miramar, San Diego, Ca. 1990-1993).
I have posted some photos of the knife I mentioned in my introduction post. Check out "Canadian Clasp Knife-Salvage Project" in the "Repair-Restoration", it is hard to not miss the knife in question, just look for the reddish-orange coloured blob in the photo...LOL.
Mark

*The term "Plane Captain" is the USN-USMC title for what the USAF (and I think US Army as well) call a "Crew Chief". The term is misleading to an extent, many people have thought that I was a Pilot/Aircrew, which I was not. I just made sure the Aircraft was ready to go, has nothing to do with actually flying the aircraft.
