Buying and Selling here ?
I am new to this forum. I am wondering if I can buy and sell here without the auction and if so where and how ? Thanks

Welcome to AAPK.
You can buy or sell through the "Advertisements" forum.

Re: Buying and Selling here ?
Welcome to AAPK Case N. Point. I think you will enjoy your time here. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here who have greatly enriched my experience in this hobby of knife collecting.
I'm just wondering if you are the eBay seller who goes by the name of acaseinpoint70 ? if so you have had some very fine knives for sale as you are one of my followed sellers and I have purchased a couple of knives from this seller. At any rate Phil put you on the right track and I am eager to see what you have to offer.
We have a lot of fun on this sight as well so don't be afraid to jump in to our discussions and by all means show off some of your favorite knives. We love pictures here.

What Phil forgot to mention is, that forum was set up for the onsie, twosie sales. If you intend to use AAPK as a low cost alternative to eBay, contact Bryan (owner of AAPK) and set up a store. Unlike eBay, it's a fixed price/sometimes OBO (if you are so inclined) situation and the cost is minimal.

You can also buy from the collection of AAPK stores found at this link:
http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/aap ... stores.php
The crawling banner at the top of forum pages shows recently listed items in the store. I believe there is a moratorium on setting up new stores so that likely won't be an avenue for you to sell in the near term.

I'm not a Ebay seller and not good at trying to sell but I have a knife I didn't need or want and I figured a collector would want it. This is a nice forum but a bit overwhelming for me with all the different things going on in this site. I could get way out of hand buying knives from being here and I need to keep a short leash on myself. Thanks

I apologize if I left the impression that selling a knife is frowned on. That is not the case. Just go to the link Phil provided above and have at it.Case N.Point wrote:I'm not a Ebay seller and not good at trying to sell but I have a knife I didn't need or want and I figured a collector would want it. I can relate to seeing AAPK as a dangerous place for a knife addict. It would be akin to an alcoholic hanging out in a bar that's open 24 hours a day. I've battled with myself frequently to maintain some modicum of self control. Occasionally the budget has been stretched far enough to develop a few tears but so far it hasn't broken.
