Beautiful "Barlow" Scott.
The bakelite Remington Dupont is also gorgeous.
Just by coincidence, last night as we were eating dinner I glanced at the back of my fork laying in front of me. It reads
"IKEA China"

One of my fellow estate sales hunters sold me these 2 before the estate sale opened!! I didn't need to stay but did and scored
some cleaning products and sandpaper for cheap!

Opinel = thin and slicy carbon goodness and surprisingly solid for such a simple knife. Fair warning: They tend to multiply.

Walked into a small town pawnshop where I occasionally find knives - she had these two, both in NOS shape - $24.00 out the door for the pair. I don't care for Peanut's (too small for me - but a good kids or ladies gift). I did need a cheap filet knife for the boat, this Irish made Imperial will do the trick. OH

A fillet knife is right handy in the kitchen; they are especially nice for cheese, sausage, etc. that like a thin slicing blade that doesn't balk or plug up. They don't have to be fancy. I have a number of them around- just throw them in the dishwasher if necessary and they don't even need to be too sharp. I really like my Schrade Sure Grip fillet knives (uh...U.S. made, of course).

I have fun that's for sure! Glad to help others with their collections.....especially when I sell to an AAPK member!

Picked up a couple of edc's today at the little local flea market as if I didn't have my pockets full. One made in China and the other in Kentucky. Now you talking about green bone this tractor up is green.

Picked up this massive meat cleaver and what appears to be a coticule stone....

That's a real cleaver! Dexter, too . If I didn't already have a commercial one, I'd be very interested in that one. Something we don't use too often but when we do, a big heavy real one is the way to go. Did you ever see one of the two handed cleavers that meat cutters used to use, now that's a cleaver!

Here is a seriously large Stock knife: 5 1/8" closed, jigged bone handles & marked "EIG Cutlery/Solingen/Germany". The master clip blade is 3 5/8" which gives you as much cutting edge as many fixed blades. I'm showing it here with a Schrade, N.Y. 825 which is 3 5/8" for comparison of size, mass as much as length.
