On the topic of the 2 versions - Case Bradford Scout and Challenge Scout - someone from the museum knew the history. Apparently, Challenge actually produced the Case Bradford Scout for Case and the blade configuration was specifically requested by Case. So in effect, Challenge was the originator of this amazing scout scene and knife pattern. Mystery solved!

Did they find documentation for this?

Looking closely at the two different brands nothing matches.

I am not aware of what supporting documentation may exist but these are history experts from the Case museum. Undeniably the knives are the same size and the same stamping tool was used to make the scales. As stated, the blade types/configuration on the Case version were requested by Case. Challenge had there own blade style/configuration.

Her's a strang one I picked up a while back in trade , German maker (forgot to take note of the brand lol )awesome stag handles and 7 blades .

Nice pick up Mike. Great stag. I've got one like it somewhere but with jigged bone handles. Mine's a German Boker, probably not as old as yours either.

I picked up this KEEN KUTTER scout/camp knife to restore but the seller didn't show pic of back scale where a chunk is missing.

This is a real gem , measuring 3 3/8" closed and in great condition . Presto double blade official Girl Scout knife .
