Question For RemingtonCollector

Post by knifeaholic »

Hi RC, wanted your opinion on this one....puzzled me. The R293 pattern number is for the H-T-T Bullet, this one resembesl the smaller trapper made for H-T-T but with a blank shield and main blade is different from the one picture in Sargent's. Any thoughts?

in parker's 1981 guide he lists three versions of the r293. #1 (S.T.), #2 (S.T.2), and #3 (L.B.) maybe rem col will be along.

Jonet is correct, Remington did make different patterns in the R293. The one you posted a link to is correct. It's not considered a H-T-T. I even placed a bid on the knife but was outbid. The high bid price exceeded the value of this knife in my estimation. I bet it shows back up with a lower reserve next time. The other patterns Jonet refers to are another knife just like this one with a standard clip blade without the saber grind, and of course the large 2 blade bullet trapper, the H-T-T.
