H&R 271 DS. No lock. Great knife though. Thanks for the compliment. Where's the category 4 coming? Sounds like gulf coast maybe? Hope it misses you.

Re: Knife Photography
Thanks, here's hoping. While being without power for 26 days after Wilma wasn't the worst possible outcome, I had hoped it bought me a lifetime's worth of amnesty from Mother Nature's cyclonic fury.Ivoryman wrote:Where's the category 4 coming? Sounds like gulf coast maybe? Hope it misses you.
Looks like yesterday's projection is unchanged. Matthew will start blowing in earnest Wed-Thur off the Atlantic coast of FL (where I live barely 2 miles off the ocean), on the far side of the Bahamas if the center of the track holds. We remain inside the extreme west of the 4-5 day "cone" which is the widest area of uncertainty.
In all likelihood it'll be miserable with rain for a few days, but the wind and flooding will entirely depend on how far west the storm jogs within that cone area. Here's hoping the Bermuda high knocks it further out to sea.

Re: Knife Photography
Tony - I well know the feeling of watching the storm track and waiting for certainty. Of having to make a decision on whether to board up or not, of making sure all emergency supplies are laid in. It has been a while since we have taken a hit (Alabama Coast): seems like the Atlantic Coast has been having a rough year. Good luck with Matthew!

Re: Knife Photography
Some really cool photos from Rookie and Ivoryman!!!
Here's hoping everyone in the path of the storm fares well. It's not out of the question that my area around the Chesapeake Bay will take a hit as well. We're hoping it veers seaward as it moves north as well.
I'm spending a rainy Sunday morning gearing up for a lake fishin' trip up north and inland in about two weeks. I took the opportunity to shoot a couple of pics....

Sasquatch: That photo arrangement is so well considered it could be a marketing shot in some glossy catalog.

Re: Knife Photography
Thanks Quick Steel! I didn't really give it that much consideration though. I had just finished respooling the reel with Spider-Wire braided line and was going through tackle and equipment picking what I will take with me. I had the stuff laying in front of me when a thought occurred to me.......there's a picture there! I just added the drift wood and hung a backdrop (one of my old camo t-shirts) so you can't see the mess of tackle and tools behind it. It turned out pretty good.

I love that old Shakespeare reel!!!!
My Grandpa had a Criterion that he seriously loved. My nephew (his great-grandson) is the proud owner of that reel these days.

Nope, just normal scales straight from the factory run. The Tuna's seem to get the pick of the litter with the most high end mammoth.Tsar Bomba wrote:Is it a glennbad special?
Scott and Squatch, I always love fishing themed knife photography. I may jump into that arena at some point and give it a whirl.
