Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Here a few I've gotten over the last couple of weeks, except for the top one, they came from members or store owners here at AAPK. Thank you Paladin, Big Monk and Nutmeg State Knives. Besides large unequal end jacks these have smitten me lately. I want to fill in the 1970's and maybe the 80's. The frames changed at some point and the 70's and earlier are slimmer, slightly, than the newer models. Then the different variations.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Nice Moose and Torpedo Jack Zach! I think I have a 99 just like that in XX and maybe a TESTED too..
Great Copperheads Steve! I like the pattern too. Only have a couple and one I pulled as an EDC from my collection. I think it is a 1978' 2 dot as I recall. Also have a XX example in the collection. Love a big Jack as a carry myself.
Great Cheetah Greg. Looks like a Large Stamp model best I can tell from the pics. Very scarce knife in a low quantity run for that point in time. 1700 made according to my research.
Congrats on the fine pickups my friends. Regards, Jerry

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Thanks Jerry for the kudos and that great information. Was the small stamp more rare than the large one? And did that 1700 include both the large and small?

No problem my friend, glad to help.gsmith7158 wrote:Thanks Jerry for the kudos and that great information. Was the small stamp more rare than the large one? And did that 1700 include both the large and small?
1700 of each small and large stamp were made according to articles from experts and my research.
The 10 dot proto were made as a precursor to both 1971 stamp models. The 71 Cheetahs ran only one year. So a very scarce knife in my opinion.
Marked 5111-1/2L for large stamp and 5111-1/2LSSP for the small stamp.
The 1977' Blue Scroll Swing Guard Engraved had only 1000 made. I have 6 of 1000. Wonder where the other others are? These are more scare as far as numbers than the 1971' Cheetahs.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Jerry I have two of the plain 1977 swing guards of which I believe they made 15, 000. Since I have been collecting the only engraved ones I've seen up for sale was a single swing guard for $600 and an entire set of engraved blue scrolls that was included in a lot with several other Case sets and the guy wanted $11, 000 for the lot so they don't show up much and when they do they're at a premium. Yours are amazing, I seriously doubt that anyone else has six.zp4ja wrote:No problem my friend, glad to help.gsmith7158 wrote:Thanks Jerry for the kudos and that great information. These have been posted elsewhere but belong here. Pleased to get the 31 from our own btrwtr at the Easton, PA show. The 35 I'll EDC and also came from the show. The Copperlock came in the mail. Made in 1997, this first year for this model. And to top it off, the USA won the Ryder Cup. Been a good weekend. Thanks for looking.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Steve you've been knocking them out lately. That 35 1/2 is a highly functional pocket knife. That one looks good enough to put on the shelf though.

Thanks Greg but its not that good. Some blade loss but the covers are that color red that demands pocket space. Had to have it.

Ditto! All great knives. The 47 is one of my favorites. Don't care how many blades it has, the 47 is a workhorse EDC!zp4ja wrote:All nice pickups Zach, Steve and Mike!
