Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Tested 6247J LP

And I love it.

This will probably be my last nice one for awhile, had to sell most of what I had to down size to a select few.

Well you have certainly acquired some nice ones XxTestedxX. Quality over quantity is a good strategy. It's much easier to take care of them. I am trying to move in that direction as well.

Thanks for the kind words/encouragement. My knife momentum is slowing down. I usually go in spurts. I do have few coming in, nothing incredibly special.

Some nice "rough" peanuts.

- greenbone xx 6220, it has the circle C shield. thought it would be neat to have.
- Slick black peanut, also with the circle C shield.
- Pearl xx peanut, a bit of cracking on the handles. Did they make an xx era pearl peanut? I couldn't find one in my book the other night.

I got those 3 on a trade, not overly invested.

also a Case Bose collab muskrat/Hawbaker, Traded for this one as well. (I love to trade)
I have maybe 7-9 Bose collabs now, I'm very happy with the ones I have gotten, but I have heard a few members with no such good luck.

Don't have any my books but I don't believe I've ever seen or heard of a XX era pearl peanut. I'd be willing to bet it is actually a 3220 that had yellow comp handles that gassed out. Some of the XX yellow comp was pretty volatile. In fact I had a yellow comp peanut that was mint so I pried the handles off before it destroyed the knife. Still need to have handles put on it

Get in that knife yet Greg? I assume it is a swing guard?

Zach, get that pearl nut in yet? Wondering if my thought on what it was born as is correct.
