Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

Hello Buck 112 fans.
How about showing your examples, with variances in handle materials, (& woods) pin count & size, etc.

I'll start with five early 112s, from older (L) to newer (R).

I actually have more than I thought; my variations include a Two-Dot, a Custom, a Finger Groove, an Ecolite, and a Bucklite. OH

Nice variety, OH!
I'm still on the lookout for a good finger groove... you just don't see them very often.
I also note how much better knives appear in natural (I presume overcast) daylight.

One I got back in 1979 and the other is from the 90's.
I like the feel of the later 112's not as blocky as my old buck but that's me.

Looks like a 112 blade in a 110 finger groove handle? Is it just the camera angle?

It is just the camera angle. This version of Buck 112 more rare than nickel bolsters.

Since we are talking Buck 112 on this thread I found this on ebay . I don't know how to post the listing but if you put in the search. Supreme FW09 Buck knife 112 it should come up. There are 2 listed under this heading. Why are they so expensive? $500.00 and $600.00 :shock:
