Hi from a new member! and some pics

Hello Everyone!
I'm a steel pounder in Tucson Arizona, perfect weather to sit in front of a forge.... What was I thinking?
I've been into forging blades for a few years now and am just finally starting to attend shows. I have made a couple of folders, but I am mainly into fixed blades. I have been inspired by Ariel Salverria in Argentina, and would recommend his work to anyone who wants a blade that is truly unique and beautiful.
I forge a lot of cable damascus and some traditional damascus as well.
Hope to get to know a lot of you and learn a little more about folders. I haven't built any folders with my steel yet, and I'm been considering a slip-joint lately from some damas i made a while back.

So here is a folder I built with steel from a friend, Titanium backstrap and liners, bicote scales and stabilized turquoise trimmings.

Here are some of my cable creations. All have Ironwood handles. Love the stuff.

It's great to have a bladesmith amongst us ! That folder looks as good as any William Henry I've seen, congratulations.

Do you ever work with carbon steel ?

Good looking knives Ellis, Wecome to AAPK

I have also seen some of Ariels knives and his work is really inspirational, I think he is also the guy that does acid etchings on blades, but I may be mistaken. Thanks for showing your work, looks great.

Hi JR,
Yep sure do, I dont do a lot of fancy grind work, my belt grinder is home made, and hard to work with, but here is a photo of a bowie I made a while back when the grinder was a little tighter!

Well now, guess it depends upon which end of the horse you're lookin' at as being pretty.....

Still high 60s, but cooling down now at night.

Keep watch down there in the "Old Pueblo."
