Boker with a problem

I bought this BOKER USA stockman 9885 for just a few bucks. The spay and sheep foot have never been sharpened, maybe the clip has been drug over a stone a time or two. I can buy a similar Boker on e-bay for $35 up. To get it repaired would probably cost that much or more. As you can see from the picture the spring for the spay and sheep foot blades is broken. Unless somebody knows where to send the knife for a factory repair, do Bokers have any warranty policies .
I've been wanting to start piddling with knife repair for a long time but never seem to have the time, being retired and all . I love finding the old knives and just cleaning and sharpening, then put 'em the pocket for a day or two, then put 'em a bag or box with the others I've gathered up over the years.
Got to readin' one of Dale's (Orvet) tutorials on knife repair and decided to see if I can make a single blade, thin/narrow 4" knife out of this "prize". It make take a while to get started, but I do have good intentions .

Dale, I'm going to go for it. Thanks for the offer of the spring, I had another similar offer from "just bob", he offered help with a spring also but as I explained to him, I need to do it myself if I'm ever goin' to learn . Your tutorial creating a single blade folder got my attention and as I mentioned to "just bob", "If I screw it up, it's no big deal 'cause this BOKER USA isn't the quality of the few older Bokers I have. (This way, there will be a new sheep foot and spay blade for some one who needs to repair a 9885 stockman. )
I do very much appreciate the offers of help! AAPK folks can't be beat!

Hey, good luck. If you remove the pins without cutting them (drill the head off and push out from that side) and don't mangle them, you can reuse them. You already know they fit, and one side will already be peened/formed.

Thanks for verifying what I mentioned to "just bob" or at least the idea of using the same pins. My thought was to cut the pins on the pile with the razor blade, as per Dale's tutorial. I was hoping not to destroy them and them tap the pin pieces out of the bolsters from the inside , all the while having enough to carefully brad/peen. Y'all make it sound so simple and I do have a Dremmel tool .

I find the Boker USA knives are pretty much the equal of the German Bokers. Hard snap, carbon steel blades take a wicked edge. And they are usually a lot cheaper than the German item. (I don't bother with the "hybrid" Traditional Series Bokers with Asian parts).

I would only be wary of damaging the covers around the pin by hammering through the pin there, you could induce cracks by doing that.
