Thanks! I love the color, looks to be an honest old knife, nowadays you can't find em mint, nor can you find them uncleaned, so hey.. This is a rare uncleaned 88 LP

Great looking red bone.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Okay Jerry your talk about "after they're all sold out" pushed me over the edge and just ordered 2. One yellow delrin and one amber bone....... Thanks alot Pal..............LOL As if my two GEC caplifters weren't enough..............jerryd6818 wrote:Neat handles.1967redrider wrote:Great looking knives, Larry, OH and XxTestedxX!!!
This arrived yesterday, 10207-SS. Just an 1/8" larger than the 6202 1/2 I EDC on work days. Plus it has a cap lifter!
I want to like that knife. I really do. I want to like it so I can get one. I absolutely love the concept even though it's about 60 years or more past it's prime. No real need for cap lifters these days but I still really like the idea. I saved the link and now I hope I don't make up my mind to get one after they're all sold out.

Gee Don, thanks for depleting the inventory. Are you trying to make sure they run out so I don't have to make a decision?

Do you find it a little odd that the Kirinite is a bit higher priced than the bone?

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
I noticed the kirinite being higher, but can't really say right or wrong. It seems different than delrin, so may cost more to produce??? I have a hobo that is either corelon or kirinite and seems nicer than delrin......
Will have to some checking on others in kirinite compared to bone on the same pattern.

Ken very nice old knives! I like the gunstock whittler - is the pen blade also stamped? Looks like it might be a Bradford transition example with stamp on the nail file.Mumbleypeg wrote:My most recent finds. Green bone 06221-1/2 and a stag 5387 gunstock whittler. I don't believe either pattern has been made by Case since the Tested era.

Thanks Jerry. I believe the knife is from very early Tested era, given that stamp on the file blade. The small pen has no stamp. No pattern number anywhere.

Jerry if you have a picture of it I'd love to see one. I haven't seen but a couple 21-1/2's before. I have two of them, both green bone. Well almost two. The other one is totally worn out with the master almost used up and the secondary broken off. The frame and handles are still there though.zp4ja wrote:

Don't see those often. I have a slick black 21-1/2. Very interesting pattern in my opinion.

Yes Sir. The 21 pattern is scarce just like the 28 pattern. I auctioned off my 28 for the WWP cause if I recall correctly. Still have the 21 and here is a not very good pic but the knife is a good one.Mumbleypeg wrote:Jerry if you have a picture of it I'd love to see one. I haven't seen but a couple 21-1/2's before. Thanks Jerry, that's a beauty. That 21 frame looks like it's begging for a wharncliffe master blade. Sargent's lists a 06221 with a wharncliffe and a 07221 with a spear. His price guidelines suggest both are real scarce. Being discontinued during the Tested era suggests it wasn't a popular seller, which is likely why we don't see any around nowadays.zp4ja wrote:Yes Sir. Agree on likely reason as to being discontinued. Odd pattern as I said but cool in my opinion.Mumbleypeg wrote:Thanks Jerry, that's a beauty. A better look at the 6202 SH Lp, it's in rough shape, but I do enjoy this pattern. Proud to have a handful of these now

Glad you like it Zach. That is definitely one fine Tested era example. I knew you would love it. What do you think of these snaps at open, close and half stop? Plenty more nice oldies where that came from.
Greg my friend, thanks for the compliment.
