Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

My most recent finds. Green bone 06221-1/2 and a stag 5387 gunstock whittler. I don't believe either pattern has been made by Case since the Tested era.

Neat handles.

I want to like that knife. I really do. I want to like it so I can get one. I absolutely love the concept even though it's about 60 years or more past it's prime. No real need for cap lifters these days but I still really like the idea. I saved the link and now I hope I don't make up my mind to get one after they're all sold out.

New Castle Brown Ale is my hands down #1 favorite but unfortunately I can only justify it once or twice a year. So when I drink beer (which isn't very often these days) I pop the top on a PBR. They've gone back to the original formula and once again it tastes good to me.

That is surprising Jerryd. I haven't had a PBR in 30 years. I tried the New Castle in cans but it just doesn't taste the same as bottles. Since my consumption had decreased greatly from earlier days I aways spring for the New Castle. If you're gonna have a few might as well be something you like

I'll have to try a PBR again if they've gone back to the original recipe. Like Greg I haven't tried one in years.

For some reason there's been a real proliferation of local "craft" breweries pop up in Texas recently, so I've been giving them a try. Some of them are really good, and most are reasonably priced. And most do not use twist off bottle caps. As I've grown older my beer drinking has focused more on quality and not on quantity.

So to stay on topic Ken, your newest Case pick-up will have to be a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon.   (Oh, come on. That's funny. Cheap but funny.)

Nice Ken!!!!
Don't see those often. I have a slick black 21-1/2. Very interesting pattern in my opinion. That 87 ain't bad either for sure.

Thanks to all for the compliments. The 87 has been on my grail list for a good while so I was really glad to get it. As soon as I get time I'll take some better pictures of both and post them.
