I was sent this great old Hammond & Co multi-blade knife to rework. It had some neat old checkered horn covers, but the covers were worm-ridden and broken. I replaced the covers with Macassar ebony, and made a custom shield. Here's the pics...

Nice job Glenn!

I like your shield better than the original, and I think the ebony is an improvement over the horn.
At least the beatles won't bother the ebony!

Excellent work, definitely an upgrade!

very nice! That is interesting filework on the corkscrew and punch, wonder if it was meant to be used to strike matches on?

That's an interesting observation. Looks like it could have been used for that purpose for sure!
