Roger, those are beautiful!
Did they all come out of a salesman's sample roll?

Camillus 1047 (Scout version of the #72) with a "Boy Scout Whittler" etch. I'm guessing last third of the 40's.
Forged on the anvil of discipline.

Jerry as you well know little used bone 72's are hard to find. You add the etch and it's even rarer.

Re: Vintage Acid Etched & Stamped Blades
Great knives, Roger and Jerry, I think I saw a few of those knives at the blade show, Roger. They look even better in person.
Nice knife, Jerry , never saw one with the etch. Never could figure out why they called it a whittler but it's their knife to call what they want. I bet that's the only etched one we will ever see!!
Thanks for posting.

Roger and Jerry, piling on to what other have said - magnificent examples!
Roger, I really like that Yankee Whittler even though I'm not a Yankee (or a whittler).

That is sure a pretty on Jerry! Great bone and fantastic etch. I am sure finding that one made you smile
Roger, Roger, Roger, those are FANTASTIC! What a show you have put on for us. I love old M&G knives, they have some fantastic etch material. I think that your collection is truly inspiring to all of us machirologists

Great looking old Camillus, Jerry.
Roger, can't add much more to what has been said. Just beautiful outstanding knives.
You must be very happy to own them.
