How Many 885UH Varieties Are There?

Post by vfdsrneat »

My father always carried a Schrade. I remember several and when he passed what he had left was divided between three boys. The Uncle Henry line was akin to a Cadillac in his eyes, and he carried an 885UH most of the time. I too have developed an affection to stockman knives and have around two dozen 885's. My question I suppose would be how many different varieties did Schrade make in this pattern and would you nice folks post pictures of them for me?

From all I have seen the biggest difference is the Tang stamps.

The third one down in that picture with the S.C.C.+ is an 886UH, not an 885UH. Enlarge the picture and you will see.
The S.C.C. stamp was used by Camillus on some of the knives they made for Schrade.

::tu:: Here is another variation of a Schrade 885 made for Cabela's. The box is marked 885CAB and the tang is stamped Schrade+ USA LTD. The handle has the Cabela's Logo shield on it and the delrin is saw cut brown. I'm not sure how many Cabela's had made. I have included a Uncle Henry 885 for comparison. Terry
