Beauties Joe ::tu:: ... Truly like them both but that Thomaston has that extra appeal to me ::nod:: ... I'm really liking how you are getting that iridescence of the MOP to show in the photos as well.... tough to get good photos of MOP and do them justice...

Thank you Greg, Dave, Mike, Tom and Lee. I appreciate the compliments.

Thank you, Lee. I have realized that very subdued light is all that is needed for MOP. Low light doesn't burn out the color. Also, the dark background allows my camera to open up.

More to come .................

Well - guess I should start to post some of my MOP knives too :D ... This thread has such lovely examples... Joe - I think you are right in terms of subdued background... but I am starting to play around with some LED light inside as I think it may work... probably should try a black background though as you suggest...

If you collect vintage knives, pearl handled ones are i think, the most special of all. Pearl was used with the widest range of patterns and on the companies best, most expensive knives. Some of the finest are the pearl miniature multiblades.
I'm in the process of getting my pearls organized. Here is "Pearl U.S.A." Not all are here. Some are still stored with other knives by the same maker. It's hard to know which ones to show.
