Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

::doh:: .....well...that didn't take long! About a week and a half of daily carry and the shield has magically disappeared. Kind of dissapointing as I am really liking the knife alot. Carries easy, is maintaining it's edge like a champ, the blade shape is super useful....I know Case will send me a new shield and I can glue it back in, just a little let down that I have to do it. Sure wish they would go back to pinning them on. Oh well, I guess it carries even lighter now!

Bummer. Try a little dab of Gorilla glue when the new one arrives.

Likely the closest thing to a tactical that I will ever own. The thumb stud opening and no backspring will take some getting used to. Rehandled in Sycamore lace By Adam AKA member DarkSev.G42 blade. Beyond scary sharp. Very lightweight and beautiful. CASE 2005' 73L Pattern. Previous covers were bone.

Pretty soddie Mike. That sucks on the shield, replaceable or not.

Nice haul JW. That Barlow looks like Apaloosa bone. I didn't realize they put that on a Barlow.

Looks like The Shield is upside down on the scout. It did happen from time to time unless it was flipped after I left the factory

I had wondered about that myself. Not sure if it left the factory like that or if it was done after but all I have seen are the other way.

Thanks. I love the Barlow pattern. It reminds me of some of my grandfather's old Barlow Knives, although his are rough from years and years of use.

Yea that just adds to the mystique of the Barlow. An old old pattern that many people have used and are familiar with.
