Help Identify
Anybody have any idea as to the maker of this knife? Five inches closed, handles look like older Rogers bone. Does blade shape give any clues, what about the tiny nail nick? Thanks a lot.

A good looking knife, and someone should recognize it.tjmurphy wrote:Anybody have any idea as to the maker of this knife? Five inches closed, handles look like older Rogers bone. Does blade shape give any clues, what about the tiny nail nick? Thanks a lot.

Very nice bone handles! Hard to tell from picture but nail nick is unusual looking. Has the knife been buffed heavily?

Funny looking blade, almost looks short for the frame. Home made blade maybe?

Blade has been replaced, nail nick looks like they cut it with a dremel tool.

Re: Help Identify
I wondered if the blade had been reshaped due to tipping: it does look short. With that nail nick, the spring better be weak or you will need pliers to open it.

Here's a pic of the blade closed. Does not appear to short.

Re: Help Identify
TJ,No tang stamp, the tang looks nothing like what you would see on a vintage knife. It's very large. The general shape of the blade, plus the tiny little nail nick. The frame and handles are old,but the blade not so much.
