Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Wow that toothpick is beautiful! Fantastic bone and jigging, what a knife, congrats on that find. Here is the latest addition to my growing accumulation of 8 dots, courtesy of Olderdogs Tom, an ol' yella 99 rail splitter, rock solid and snaps like a gator. Very happy with this one ::groove::

That is a great looking bone on that '93, just beautiful Greg. One of these days....

The yella 99 is on my list too. Nice looking example Mike. Those can be hard on fingernails if they're anything like the 31 frame jacks.

Mike,
That's a fine lookin' knife, there's just somethin' about a yellow handled old Case ::tu:: .
I've been eyein' those 99s at a distance for several years, just haven't run across one yet. Looks like they would be a great EDC for folks like me that like a "substantial" folder in the right front pocket.

Thanks fellas....yes it indeed quite a substantial knife! Surprisingly it is not a nail breaker though, good solid pull on both blades but not to the point of having to strain my thumb nail to get er open. Just right. ::tu::

Greg and Mike - two beautiful Case knives - pristine too! OH

This is a 6392 that I intend to use as an EDC. It is a bit of a "put together" knife as it has blades from 1978 (2 dot) with (maybe) an earlier frame and earlier green bone pocket worn handles. I had been looking for an older Case knife in good condition that I could carry with feeling guilty and this fits the bill. Aside from needing sharpened it works great and feels great in the hand and in the pocket.

Thanks for looking.

Jerry IMO the 92 is the perfect carry knife either the jack or the stockman. That one looks great.

Thanks Steve, I'm going to see if I can get a couple of more from this guy. He's a bit younger than me and has only been collecting for a few years. Most of his stuff is newer ( yr. 2000 and up ) but nice and mint, and they will be old some day.
