Dave that's very intricate and unique. Is it an old H. Boker? Have you deciphered those hallmarks on the backside?

Beautiful knife.
Is that a lost art?

Very nice! Congrats. ::tu::
A pocket knife is still an intimate personal possession of the individual who carries it and consequently deserves the best of materials, finish and workmanship in its production. (Quoted from Boker's 1928 cutlery catalog).

Thanks, guys! :)

Greg, the tang is stamped "H. Boker & Co's Improved Cutlery." Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with German hallmarks, and these are so worn I can't tell what characters I'm looking at. The only thing I have determined is the hallmarks seem to be pre-1888. By 1888 German law required a decimal silver mark (e.g. .800 or .925) to be stamped on all silver. Here's a close-up.
