Cattaraugus 12839 King of the Woods

Does anyone out there know when Cattaraugus stopped production of the model 12839 (king of the Woods) I understand they didn't make many packet knives after ww2. I think the straight line stamp is older than the curved stamp but I get conflicting opinions on that.
There are two nice ones listed on Ebay,but neither one has very good pics in my opinion. When you sell a knife like that it seems to me you would want to spersize your pictures,but that's just my opinion.
Any lessons on The 12839 model would be appreciated.

I am no authority on CAT knives. I do have some history though. Most unrelated to what you are asking. My only comment that relates is that CAT closed in 1963.

As for thier tang stamps, I am not positive as to the positions.

I suggest looking at Richie's book on Cat knives for positive answers.

I am not sure that it has the answer to your question, but it is a good place to start.
