For all the newbies out there. this is an easy one to learn from. Even if you don't have the information about Remington in front of you , the bolster and pin of the so-called Remington should be MORE than enough to tell you something just isn't right. For the one hundredth time, READ the KNife, not what it says on the blade, but what the knife's construction and materails tell you.

Looks like the only reason BOTH of them aren't marked Remington is: 1) They couldn't find another Remington blade or; 2)They couldn't grind enough of the Barnett stamp off to re-stamp it.

Those two knives are part of a collection they are auctioning off near where I live. I am going Friday to look everything over and going back to the auction on Sat. The auctioneer dosen't really know anything about knives.The owner of the knives is pretty sick from what I hear and is a certified loonie. One of those guys with tons of money who buys stuff and stores it away. Wow, that looks like it will be an exciting auction. I see 2 nice Remington knife display cases, and one for Parker pens thats listed as a Remington display. The firearms looks interesting as well. Good luck.
