I was thinking the exact same thing... If he doesn't find this thread soon, I'm going to have to email him.

For anyone who doesn't know... yerout has a lot of knowlege about these knives. I hope he stops by and shares some.

Sorry. I must have been out of it when I typed that. I have one of these knives that I stumbled on yesterday when cleaning and I just thought you guys could give me some info about the brand and etc.

Looks like a popular knife brand. Maybe I should hang on to mine. I was in a cleaning mood and going thru knives and found this one.

Since we haven't heard from yerout, as of yet.....

Here's a little bit that I know.

Tennessee Knife Works was the brainchild of Adrian Harris...and "Colonel Coon" his brand. Started in 1978, and sold to Case in 1988. I believe he may have been responsible for hinged lid knife packaging.
The knives I've seen/handled...though very few...have been quite nicely done.
He also wrote many knife related articles, and a book (Knife Repair & Restoration).

That's it, stick the fork in, I'm done.

Bill, That is what I know also.

The book is out again, printed in Tennessee of course.

This Barlow had "studs" (two each) on the bolsters to attach it to the liners. Could not get a good clear photo.
Every one I have held were well made.

Geez fellow knifer's, I must have missed something Bill (El Lobo) was callin me out for the show down and I was on another planet and missed the fireworks, No, I really had my nose in another knife book all weekend and just found this thread, that was a nice looking Coon that Ksmith had I belive that was his name, If he wants to sell it all he has to do is drop me a pm and we will begin to bargain on that one I'm always looking for another pet Coon, here's a pic of a couple of my pet Coon's (sorry about the poor photo's)

More Coon pics I found, I'm glad Goatman ask for pics ! Got more but don't want Bryan to kick me out for burning up his space

Your picture takin' ain't too bad, I know what I'm lookin' at.

Maybe I can help you out with that after we finish our game.

I hope to be over there soon. The State has been filling the Holston with farm raised Trout and they taste like Dog Food.

The ideal is to take some of the crowds off of the Clinch.

Find us a table, I'll use a house stick and you can break.

Or we can lay our knives out and look them over
