Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Thanks for the kind words on the barlow fellas! Here's another little beauty I just got in today, it's a 9 dot 23087 stockman with smooth black handles, unused and mint!

Very unusual tang stamping on that one. Tested XX long tail C with lightning S combo. I guess since it's a SFO for NKCA they must have specified it as such.

Here are a couple of modern Case knives I just acquired and am quite happy with.
1996 Pocket worn deep red bone canoe...and a 2016 persimmon orange bone tiny toothpick
outstanding fit and finish on both, great walk and talk, and both are quite snappy. I wasn't planning on liking the tiny toothpick as much a I do, but the bone is surprisingly nice and has alot of character to it, and it packs alot of blade for a 3" knife.
Thumbs up on both of these modern Case knives. ::tu::

Nice knives Mike. If you decide to carry that toothpick, with those bright orange handles you're not likely to loose it! ::tu::

These two arrived this week; the eight dot 11031SH fulfills a checkmark on my Case list, it's in NOS condition. The 6318 is a 1976, has Delrin handles and stainless steel blades. It was bought to EDC, if not for the poorly ground master blade it would be perfect - of course I got it cheap and there is plenty enough blade for EDC purposes. OH

Great pick ups OH! Coincidentally an 8 dot whaler is on my list to find as well! Congrats on finding yours, looks to be in outstanding condition too. Those 6318's sure ride nice in the pocket, that one will make a nice carry.

Thanks for the compliments and comments gents!

Just to be clear, that knife isn't a Whaler (or at least it isn't the knife Case branded as a Whaler). Here is a shot of my three 1970's era Case knives with wood scales and Sheepfoot main blades; a 6217 Loom Fixer, a 1199SH R Whaler, and the newest one, the 11031SH barehead, single blade jackknife. The blade lengths and frames are different sizes on each of them. Sheepfoot blades are 3-1/8" on the Whaler, 2-15/16" on the Loom Fixer, and 2-11/16th on the jackknife. OH
