Phew, MB, that is a beauty. It looks really nice, great condition. I love EZ openers, the way they allow you to see a little more of the blade in profile is really appealing.

Actually German made for the American market....

The liner, bolsters & shield is made from one piece of NS. The middle is routed out for the black plastic material. The pins except for the hinge pins are NS.

An interesting old knife, that is why I bought it!

... while I know this is a Schrade it looks almost exactly like a Voos jack with some minor differences (at least to my eye) - the bone, barehead and blades with similar nail nicks.... cool - have to love the beauty of an old jack and that was is in great condition!! Interestingly Voos seemed to make a "ton" of those jacks - other than their FOB knives this is the only big knife I saw Voos make...

Thanks Lee. I also have one of the Voos ones and while there are similarities, in hand the Schrade is very much a superior knife in terms of fit and finish: handle hafting, bone jigging, walk and talk and just general feel, than the Voos that I have. No offense intended to the Voos, it is a good knife.

Dan - no offense at all regarding the Voos jack

... Voos were certainly not of Schrade quality (afterall I don't even think Voos made other bigger knives other than the jack - at least I have never seen one except their small FOB knives) and I am sure Schrade is superior in many ways - Schrade is just a better name with many patterns as well... was just the overall look & similarity of the pattern to my eye that caught my attention...
