I am not a Case collector but everything about this knife looks wrong, including the Case markings that look like vibrating tool.
Seller is not a knife collector but did purchase a large collection. I doubt he is trying to deceive.
Would those who know vintage Case please confirm this to be "the worst fake ever" .

Kj don't like the looks of the knife or the seller. This is the same pawn shop that sold me a counterfiet tested era tooth pick.

Greg, i think the knife collection he bought had a variety of knives including fakes. I think he does not know the difference fake or original. Were you refunded no hassle ?

No. This was purchased near the beginning of my knife collecting and I didn't come to the realization that it was counterfiet till six months later when I joined AAPK. I just chalked that $160 off to experience gained.

Waste of some nice looking black pearl. It's a 70's 6308 made into an older knife.

Kj when I got that toothpick I was a little suspicious because the blade finish was different than my other toothpicks so I emailed this guy and asked if he knew the history of it. His reply was my firm was a major liquidator of the Rhett Stidham estate but this knife was not part of that and I don't know anything about its previous owner. So I don't know if he was trying to impress me with that or what. But if he doesn't know they are counterfiet the I would avoid him anyway. My suspicion is that he does.

The stamps are almost laughable. Look at all the the little dots inside the letters where the engraver was stopped and started.

This seller also told me that he had been involved with the purchase of Rhett Stidham's estate, or at least the knife portion. He sold a portion of it(about 4,000 knives ?) to another ebay seller. When this second seller first listed these knives i saw many fakes.
Did Mr. Stidham collect fakes ? Would he have known a fake ? Some people do collect knives and accept them all as per markings and don't care if a knife is a fake.
Why so many fakes in Mr. S's collection ?
