WTB/T: single blade trapper or Case Backpocket

I'm looking for a single-blade trapper on the larger (4 1/8") frame, or maybe the even-larger frame of the Case Backpocket. I don't want a stainless steel blade, or a lock. Ideally the knife would have a lanyard hole but I'm probably not going to be that lucky.

Hey Coffee,
I have a TB61546 1/2 Gondenrod scales with a layanard hole and the case layanard also, however mine is SS and a 2012 model, NIB. Must be one of a numbered series because mine has the number 11 on the bolster. Never been out of the box.

Thanks Keith, but I'll have to pass. I've not had good luck with the stainless used by Case (or other 420 series equivalent steels). I tend to sharpen my knives at low angles; at those lower angles the edge just doesn't hold up as well as steels like 1095, or even Case's CV. I think this is probably a combination of hardness differences and carbide size in the stainless, but I haven't really looked at it.

Coffee Cup: Have you tried Cases Website, they have yellow handled Case knives in cv. Might be your best bet. Maybe one of our knife mechanics could alter one to your need. ftd

No problem, I actually forgot that I have the knife. Most of the ones I have seen have a regular clip shape blade on them, this one has a different style blade and georgus handles on it. I will hang onto for now. If I were able to post pics from my phone, I would post one. Have not figured that out yet.

There's a yellow handled delrin one with CV on eBay right now BTW.

Nope, different blade shape and also different shield. SN 11 on bolster.
