What is this?
Can anyone help me out with this one? Seems to be a jack knife, carbon steel blades, nickel pins, bolster and shield. brass liner. Smooth red bone handles. Has no stamp or numbers on either blade. Knife is 3 1/4 inches closed. Someone gave it to me back in 09. It seems to be a well built knife with good snap. need a educated guess! thanks, Mike.

To me it looks like an LF&C Model #22125.75 based on the catalog cut below. Tom

Thanks Bestgear, that one looks very similar. I have other Lf&c knives, but I'm not so educated on that brand. Do you know if they sometimes didn't stamp the tangs? Maybe this one is just so old that it's worn off. Mike.

Mike - Based on the wear on your blades I suspect that the tang stamps were once there but are long gone too. I do have some LF&C's with full etched (Universal) blades and no tang stamps but it's not that common. Did the length of your knife match the catalog cut? Tom

I didn't actually measure it at the time of this post, I took the 3 1/4 inch info. from my card on file.Your picture said 3 1/2 inches, but I could have been wrong. Like I said before, It sure looks similar. I have to dig it back out and remeasure.
