Well, I just got my package from Kaleb. I had to tear right into it. Boy, I wasn't disappointed. I have always been an admirer of his work, but haven't owned any till now.

My pictures aren't great, but I had to share. He did a great looking mod on a 34OT. Looks like stag or deer antler covers. Beautiful work, thank you!

Nicest 34OT I've ever seen.

Hopefully Kaleb can fill us in on the material and what he did to mod this Schrade.

Glad you like it Glenn, it's sambar stag, and I polished out the blades to compliment the higher end scales.

Just got a package in all the way from California from #goldpan Randy. I was expecting something to do with Bullwinkle but not so. He sent this nice modded barehead jack.

Everything on this knife is tight and snappy. For those of you that love half stops this knife snaps open, closed and at the half stops on both blades. The knife is 3 5/16" long closed. Not too big and not too small for a nice mid-size EDC pocket knife. Aluminum liners and bolsters help keep the weight down. My little postal scale says it weighs in at just 1.94 oz. or 55 g. All edges are nicely contoured for a very pocket-able knife. Handles look like a jigged rough black.

The blade tang says MADE IN GERMANY but the knife speaks to me with a bit of a west coast accent.

Randy confessed to me that he sent the knife out a day late because he wanted to give it some pocket time and I can see why. I think it will ride in my pocket for a while too.

Very nice work on this mod Randy!

Please feel free to chime in and let us know any of the particulars of construction and materials.

Nice pics Wayne! I am so glad that you like the knife. I know I took pics of it, just can't find them. The scales are made from black paper micarta. I jigged it by hand, free style. I almost sent you a Camillus 72 with the Bullwinkle treatment. But a small crack below one of the bolster pins made me change horses mid stream. The aluminum bolsters and liners are one piece that were machined out on my home made milling machine. The original knife was a shell handled knife, kinda like an Imperial. I was impressed with the blade steel enough that I thought it should wear a better suit clothes. Like I said I will see if I can locate the pics and post them.

Well. I received the knife from Glenn today. Its awesome! ::tu:: ::tu:: Its a small Camco jack with a screwdriver/caplifter on it that just rocks! An sports a clip master blade. I am having this one ride in my pocket for a long time. Its light weight and functional. Comes in right a three inches closed. Has a sporty pair of jigged amber scales. . Oh yeah it comes with a federal style shield just to sweeten up an already sweet knife! Well I guess I better shut my yap and post some pics!

As you can see this is one fine little knife. Now for a little irony. I have a project knife with the same blade configuration. Its an Imperial with shell handles. I have been wanting one like this for a long time. The Imperial was to be modded with the idea that would be an EDC for me. Well not any more! It may be a while longer before that build gets done.

Thanks again Glenn. Its like you read my mind. Wayne I am so happy that you like the knife. I had spine surgery back in December. I only work in my shop for short periods of time to hold down the discomfort a bit. When I found the crack in the other knife ( Man what a let down. I really like the way it looks too) I found I needed another to replace it with. I did not have any more moose at the time so I did the next best thing. It was fun to make. The truth is, after I carried that for a while I wanted to keep it. Glad to see it has a good home with you Wayne!

Randy, What's not to like about that glennbad mod? With the second screwdriver/caplifter that's my idea of a nice EDC working knife.

Nice work Glenn!
