Help on ID of this Tidioute knife

Here are some photos of a pearl knife I picked up at a little local club meeting today.
It is a nice little knife of 3 inches. It has strong snap and strong half stops. The blades have a bit of a swedge. I feel sure that with those features it is not a recent manufacture.
The tang stamp is a pair of letters and I cannot make out the first. The last is R (followed by) CO. (over) TIDIOUTE (over) PA.
I tried combinations of letters with the R but found nothing in Goins.
Pa Knives, are you out there??

Paladin,

The stamping is a little hard to make out, especially the first letter.

You have what appears, to me at least, to be a Union Razor Co. (U. R. Co.) knife.

Union Razor operated out of Tidiuote, PA from circa 1898-1912 and was founded by Wallace R. Brown, a grandson of Job R. Case.
Later, Union evolved into KA-BAR Cutlery Company, Inc.

I'd say you've got an uncommon example. Very nice!

Of course, paknives is the authority, but I am going to put my money on Union Razor Co.

Thanks Tip and CCBill. I believe you may be correct. Maybe we can get PAKnives to take a look and give it his blessing during the day.

Yes that is a U R Co. Union Razor Company of Tidioute, but I have to see the other blade stamp to determine if the knife itself is in deed the real thing. I do have some reservation at this time. Remember folks, you must read the entire knife, not just the stamp. Thats why Ray is asking.

The small pen blade is stamped with a weak TIDIOUTE. Not the greatest photo but maybe will suffice, and thanks for the help.

Yes it passes the test, it is the real thing and a fine example at that. It really should be in my collection though.

NICE Ray. you certainly have a nack for finding those wonderful pieces. I compared the stamps to known originals and these is a beauty.

Thanks to everybody for the help on this one and special thanks to PAKnives for the icing on the cake.
I hadn't really thought about selling and in truth, I paid a little more than I wanted to for the knife, so it might not be a good buy.
