Teal Green Case Copperlock Employees Knife w/ Letter

Post by A&E »

I found a Case Teal Green Copperlock Employees only knife (1998) that originally came with a letter. I found the mini's value in parker's . . . he says $250 mint. It's one of 380. It's one of the higher value copperlocks out there.

The one I found has the original box and the COA but not the letter. I'm wondering if that dings the book value significantly. Is Parker suggesting it's only worth that much with the letter? Just curious what others think.

Well, you may be right . . . I guess the answer would be obvious anyway. If a knife is lacking any original documentation it's probably always worth less than it would have been with it! Still waiting for it . . .

I didn't price that section of the Price Guide, it was done by Buzz, Ed Henley, and Jay Parker. However, I do agree with the value on that knife. It might take away just a bit for not having the letter but, if you have the box and COA I'd say you're in good shape with it. That will document the knife as well as anything else.
