Who Made This?

Post by pocketkeeper »

I recently picked up 12 old pocket knives at a good price. One was this unusual three blade pearl. It doesn't seem to have any mark on it. There is a curious groove in the main blade....and also what looks like two nail nicks. The knife looks German to me but I really have no idea. Two of the blades are Wharncliffe... but what is that strange shaped blade for? Anyone have an idea of the maker and the approximate age? I really like this old knife and hope someone can give me some info on it.

Don't know the answer you are seeking but that groove looks like where a Hallmark would be. Get a loupe or magnafying glass and look closer.
